May 2018

EDGE announces the development of the eCare ambient assisted living platform, a new generation of data platform that supports the creation of intelligent ambients capable of promoting superior wellbeing and quality of life.
With the new eCare Platform, EDGE expands the current registration of wellbeing and quality of life data and collects data from the involving ambient, while at the same correlates different types of data and information sources, including psychophysiological parameters, wellbeing and care experiences and real world data. The users interact with the Platform, being able to continuously update their data and experiences in a single application. The quality of the data remains one of EDGE's primary concerns and the company is using advanced technologies to support high efficiency in data integration and a fast access to reliable and trusted data. The breadth and quality of the data is therefore critical for the construction of intelligent ambients that support the individuals' autonomy and independence at home, considering the individual and family needs and enabling the significant improvement of eCare users' quality of life.
“Our new data platform will capture the life experience of its users, generating real evidence for the setting-up of intelligent ambients that are able to promote quality of life." says Marco Manso, EDGE's CEO.“EDGE is proud to be implementing a vision of the future concerning the integration of vital data for the promotion of increasingly more personalised wellbeing spaces”.
The inclusion of wellbeing data, personal experiences and real world evidence ensures that eCare is focused on what is important for each individual, helping them to create intelligent ambients that support an healthy, autonomous, independent and active living. The new Platform is currently in development and will reach the market in 2020.
