The integration of smart devices within emergency services and the revolutionary role the Internet of Things promises to bring to the emergencies sector is the core of the paper to be presented at the 1st International Workshop on Interoperability, Integration and Interconnection of Internet of Things Systems (I4T), jointly held with IOTDI – 1st IEEE International Conference on Internet-of-Things Design and Implementation, to be held on April 4-6, in Berlin.
Developed in the NEXES Action framework, the article describes three specific emergency situations where the use of telematics and smart devices makes the difference for a successful outcome.
