SPHINX Pilot Sites

The SPHINX Consortium just published the validation plan for the SPHINX System that is a novel cybersecurity system specifically designed for healthcare institutions.
The SPHINX validation plan announces then the realisation of three pilot activities involving four entities: the Larissa University Hospital and the Volos General Hospital, under the 5th regional health authority of Central Greece, the Polaris Hospital in Romania and the Hospital of Espírito Santo in Évora, Portugal, with EDGE’s support. In the piloting context, fundamental cybersecurity aspects related with patient data transfer, the cross-border exchange of medical information and the use of remote patient monitoring platforms will be tested, verified and validated, with a set of key performance indicators supporting the assessment of the SPHINX System’s performance, effectiveness and efficiency in cybersecurity, as well as of the level of user interaction and satisfaction with the System’s operation.
For the next year, EDGE and its SPHINX partners will be defining the deployment plan of SPHINX, including the testing environment and the validation of the multiple tools that comprise the SPHINX System, as well as implementing the test environments that replicate the operations of the health organisations involved in the pilots, enabling the realisation of the pilot activities now announced.
