AIMES

The AIMES project ambitions to develop a new universal access paradigm to the 112 emergency services, benefitting from advanced multimedia capabilities, of data sharing and interoperability, as well as the integration of IoT technologies.
Through the last eight months, with Deveryware and Omnitor, EDGE identified a set of sixty-four functional and technical requirements that preside the design of the AIMES System’s architecture and that will guide the implementation of the different components that integrate the System, namely the PEMEA services and the Web-112 extension and the mobile applications for citizens and for first responders. To refine in the project’s second iteration, the AIMES requirements and initial architecture are now guiding the adaptations to perform on EDGE’s solutions, namely the eCare Platform and the eSafer System, in order to enable the advanced capabilities proposed by the AIMES System.
In parallel, EDGE and the AIMES partners presented the project’s demonstrations plan to be executed throughout sixteen months, contemplating the execution of exercises and three pilots in June, September and October of 2021, benefitting from the availability of all the AIMES System components. The demonstrations plan describes the testbed and the simulated environments to be developed in support of the demonstration activities of the AIMES System before representatives of European emergency services.
