EDGE Joins New NATO Study
June 2014

EDGE joined a group of scientific and industrial experts to establish a new System Analysis and Study (SAS) panel that aims to validate the Agility concept in command and control (C2), to explain the specific topics related with Agility in command and control and to explore the costs and benefits of improving C2 Agility.
Proceeding with work already developed in this domain, EDGE will deal with the challenges generated by today's operations, carried out in highly dynamic and complex environments that require organisations to develop the ability to employ more than a single command and control approach and to adopt the most suitable one, in function of the mission and its circumstances.
In the NATO SAS-104 C2 Agility: Next Steps kick-off meeting, all partners agreed to dedicate the next three years to the next steps in the journey to improve the understanding of C2 agility and to comprehend what is required to evolve C2 Agility from a promising concept to an operational capability.
