EDGE representatives participated at the High-level Conference "The Future of Europe is Science", which was held in Lisbon on the 6th and 7th of October.
Organised by initiative of the European Commission President, José Manuel Barroso, this Conference brought together a large number of world-known scientists and representatives of the science, industry and politics areas. The participants that were at the Champalimaud Foundation had the opportunity to debate health, life in society, work, learning, education, production, consumption and resource management in the future. One certainty: science, technology and innovation will play a fundamental role is that same future, supporting society's well-being and enabling its sustainable growth potential to become a reality.
During the Conference, the participants received the new report "The Future of Europe is Science", the last produced by the President's Science and Technology Advisory Council (STAC).
